Phrobis Marto M.F.K. Multipurpose Field Knife Model 9010 - NEW (29395)

This is a Phrobis Marto M.F.K. (Multipurpose Field Knife) with Scabbard. Model 9010. New old stock item. Box has some very light wear from shipping/storage, and the bottom has a tear that is shown in the last photo. Some of the gold logo on the scabbard is flaking off (see photo). Has some of the factory protective oil on the blade. This variation was probably made around 1993. Includes original box, brochure, and 2 extra handguards. It is a modular knife - handle will unscrew from blade. Has a plastic tang, handguard, and scabbard. Very light, weighs only about 13 ounces. The blade differs slightly from the more common MFK. This one is a "second generation" style (has an unsharpened false edge). This feature was supposed to make the blade stronger. Also, the markings on the ricasso are deeply laser engraved. Marto did a good job on the blades, as it is very sharp. Made in Spain.
