This is a LanCay M9 Bayonet with Scabbard in used condition. A rare/uncommon transitional model produced in 1995. 1 of 1090 produced. The Nexus date code on the buckle is 10-1994. This has a natural finish blade with no hyphen (LanCay). It was produced to fill the last of the 1st contract bayonets which specified a natural finish (not black). However, LanCay used the new style blade with no step on the ricasso and stamped the old style name with no hyphen. This is an all original and historically correct bayonet. The knife was partially disassembled to check and see if it ever had a blackened blade. It was put back together without or disturbing anything. Original stone was missing, but one is included, and is shown in last image and can be glued in with a small bead of silicone. Genuine US Military surplus. Made in the USA.
