This is a Commemorative M7 Navy Display Bayonet with gold plated parts. Imperial brand bayonet sold by the American Historical Foundation in 1985/86 under the name "Bayonets of Honor". In excellent condition overall, but has a tiny ding in the blade that is hard to see. Does NOT include display case or scabbard. Most of these had a serial number engraved. This one does not. Also, it does not have the normal gold fill in the etching on the blade, or the Navy emblem in the grip. This particular one may have been an factory over-run. Supposedly they made 2500 bayonets for each branch. I heard the pommel is glued on, so it is for display use only. Made in the USA.
